Very interesting. Based on a very low sampling of words scanned from my blog I apparently warrant a PG rating. Here's the deal:
This rating was determined based on the presence of the following words:
- steal (3x)
- pain (2x)
- dangerous (1x)
children's literature reviews, mostly. occasional thoughts, commentary, and whatever else fits the kidlit bill.

Oh my, I'm laughing so hard. Because 1) we got a PG rating, which surprises me, considering a certain question in the Pivot questionnaire that is all over our blog and 2) "This rating was determined based on the presence of the following words: gay (5x)" Oh heavens, how funny.
I mean, really, if they're basing this on the front page that currently loads, uh, there's that Holly Black interview with one of the most hysterical and wonderfully profane answers I've ever seen for the favorite-curse-word question . . . so, I don't really get it.
By the way, the excelsior file is referenced twice in my post today.
